It is often observed that children can memorize a great deal of information. They can quote (at length) words to songs, quotes from their favorite movies, and recite, from memory, every single war ship and commander associated with “Zeno The Earth Destroyer” video game (I made that name up by the way). It is also observed that this “passive” memorization can influence our children’s behavior dramatically. As Christian parents, we should “actively” contribute to the education of our children by catechizing them in the principles and doctrine of our faith. There is no greater joy than hearing the recitation of biblical doctrine from the mouth of our children. I pray that God would grant us the desire, patience, and diligence to catechize our children.

Great conclusion Scott!

Internalization of the gospel (the sacred law of Jesus Christ) must be obtained by individual Christians before the church can be wholly effective in influencing the culture. This internalization begins in the individual through the power of the Holy Spirit, then it will permeate the family, next it will strengthen the church, and finally influence our society. Biblical Dominion at it’s finest!

Thanks for the post…

The summarization listed in this article was first printed in Penpoint Vol 1, January 1994 and posted as a free article on www.cmfnow.com. I would encourage students of apologetics to remember that the primary reason for giving a defense of our faith is not simply to cast down arguments, but to provide a means for evangelism. As Dr. Bahnsen has stated in another article “The very reason why Christians are put in the position of giving a reasoned account of the hope that is in them is that not all men have faith. Because there is a world to be evangelized (men who are unconverted), there is the need for the believer to defend his faith: Evangelism naturally brings one into apologetics. This indicates that apologetics is no mere matter of “intellectual jousting”; it is a serious matter of life and death – eternal life and death”.
